The gorgeous fun products from Tiger Tribe are EXTREMELY addictive! So far we have magnets and stamps of all kinds.

J's favourite is her dinosaur magnets. Every morning when she wakes up she does her dinosaur jigsaw puzzle then plays with her Tiger Tribe dinosaur magnets until she hears someone else getting up then she comes out.

Last time we were down at Stork's corner M chose the Dress Up Girls Magna Junior set. It's a cute little tin case that has lots of magnets including the head, body and legs. You match up the outfit you want to dress your girl up in with 6 different options of each. It's perfect to carry along when out in the car, at lunch or waiting for appointments.

Finally our stamps. These only ever come out when C is in bed as it doesn't take long until ink is all over hands (and once the couch!!). The girl's love making stories with their stamps or cards for people (I think I like stamping just as much as the girls.) We even have a reward stamp for special moments.

When I was in Funky Kids the other day I saw the new range of bags which looked super cool, the wall art is very funky and I'm sure we need some more stamps....

Stuck on You - labels and personalised items

My eldest is starting school this year and I've been trying to get organised.

We hit the Target back to school sale for a backpack (yay for wanting a dinosaur one over the Barbie that was $10 more), Big W for their sale to get socks, shoes, skorts, lunchbox and a hat so all that was left was labels, drink bottle and stationary.

As usual I headed online. Stuck On You is pretty well known as you can get their products through Officeworks now.

My daughter and I had a great time picking through the items, what designs she wanted, what colours, even the writing style!

We ended up with one of the stainless steel waterbottles with the butterfly design and her name printed down the side, pink pencil case with robots, name stickers with castles, iron on name tags with dinosaurs, round shoe dots with unicorns and we also got the stationary pack that comes with scissors, pencils, ruler, erasers, sharpener and textas all with their name printed on them.

I know chances are some will go missing (most kindergarten kids won't be able to read her name lol) but hopefully most of it stays around for a few years!

The only problem I had was that it took quite a while to get here and I saw on their Facebook page that a lot of others had the same problem so I would be ordering now for the school year. Apparently they had some problems with the new system and it's all been worked out though I don't mind getting a $5 credit with my order so will be back for #2 who starts school next year!!!

Bananas in Pyjamas new iPhone app review and DVD giveaway!

On Wednesday there were 2 new Bananas in Pyjamas apps for the iPhone released and I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to review them.

The girls love Bananas in Pyjamas (even though they drive me bonkers with their 'Are you thinking what I'm thinking B1? I think I am B2') but it's just a bit of fun.

We had a quick play of the apps after we downloaded them and they are very simple even for my 2 year old to use.

The first one is called Beach Fun which you can squirt sunscreen all over the bananas faces (which makes a funny sound) then rub it in, pick what hats and sunglasses for them to wear (pirate hats, sombreros and Dame Edna style glasses are some of the options) and build sandcastles to decorate with shells, sticks, flags and leaves. The cost of this app is $1.99. I think my girls liked the sunscreen the best for the sound it makes and getting to rub it in. They also like how their choices are often 'bananariffic' when choosing items.

The second one is Say Cheese which, as it sounds, involves the use of the iPhone camera. First you choose the border you want to use between 11 options including a birthday and a Christmas theme. Then take the photo of what you want in the frame and decorate it with 'stickers'. You can then send the photos like any normal picture taken with the iPhone camera. This app costs $2.99. This would be a good one for use through out the year, they could send Christmas Banana pictures of them to their friends (parents iPhones) to wish them a happy Christmas and the same goes on birthdays

The girls really put the test this morning while we were out having a meal, they took turns doing a Banana each with the sunscreen and decorating which kept them entertained until the food arrived. I think the best ages for it would be between 2 - 5 year olds as over 5's would probably get bored with the games very quickly.

Every competition I do I get more jealous of the prizes each time! This time I'm extra jealous!

I'll start with how things will run.

During each day I will do a blog post for the store up that day, the first person to email me with the correct answers wins! You only get one prize from the whole promotion so if you are first 2 times you only get the one you were first for first. So I was laying in bed last night and thinking how it had been a while since the last giveaway so started thinking about something a bit different so here goes.....

A handmade Christmas

Wow post #100 and just in time for my Christmas blogs! Was hard to narrow things down as there are so many gorgeous items on offer out there so here are so of my favourites. (I want them all!)

First is Christmas to wear, in a circle starting top left.

This gorgeous pinafore dress is from Possum & Sweetpea. The also have a few other designs and fabrics with most priced around the $30 mark. Check out their Facebook page for more details or how to order.

Next is the very cool Naughty or Nice tees from Oh Deer Me! They are $18 each and available in sizes 00, 0 2, 4, 6 & 8. Head to their Facebook page and they also have a Made It store.

We all know how hot it can get at Christmas time in Australia so little bubs can stay cool and still look Christmassy in this cute Santa MCN from A Knight's Tail. She's currently not taking custom orders so you will have to keep an eye on the Facebook page for when they open again.

And finally the Reindeer sleeveless Tee from Monkeys Over the Moon. It's a size 3, handstitched and can by yours for $25.

Next are the handmade other Christmas items.

Stork's Corner and my first fashion show!

What a fun day we had at the Stork's Corner fashion parade! I had to take my 2 eldest along as my husband was at Gymbaroo with our youngest but they were provided with lollipops while watching so were happy!

On arrival we were given a delicious cookie that had some very Oobi looking cherries on top and a list of all the pieces that were going to be shown so we could tick off the ones we might want to buy (oh so tempting!) and a raffle ticket.

The kids in the show did so well walking out and even doing a few dance moves though the littlest one came out in her own time and didn't want to get out of her cuddlefish bathers.

Now let me just get through all these gorgeous pieces shown in the photos. In the picture above the boys are in the new Electric Boy tees which are seriously cool with Rock Your Baby denim shorts and the girls are in the same dresses featured in the photo below, left to right then top to bottom are....

I managed to control myself and just got the Oobi Molly shorts and a Tiger Tribe stamp set and a book for the girls. I'm sure I'll be back though when the weather finally warms up in Perth!

It was so nice to see what the clothes looked like on without being edited or put in studio surroundings (they are even more gorgeous in real life!). We got a goodie bag on our way out and the items matched what I had bought, did they know me that well? lol

Cupcakes & Pastries - Delish!

I was so excited when my Cupcakes & Pastries order arrived, it looks even more beautiful in real life than it did on the screen!

I'm also very glad I got in before the AUS$ dropped!

A little about Cupcakes & Pastries first. It comes from L.A. in the USA so has a similar climate to much of Australia, the material is light for those warm days but still holds its vibrant colours. Cupcakes & Pastries was developed back in 2009 by a mother who wanted some fun dresses for afternoons of mother-daughter tea parties eating Cupcakes and Pastries which is how it all came about. The big advantage for us in Australia is that with the opposite seasons you can grab some bargains as they clear out their Summer stock.

Let me tell you a little about the items I bought.

Pictured above is one of the 'Mint' dresses. Multi-colored cotton print with crochet lace at neckline in contrast colors and tulle cap sleeves with Lurex stripes in base. The main colour features are Grey/Aqua. RRP is $58.00 but is now reduced to $44.00

Below is my favourite, I was drawn to the bright colours and design from when I first found Cupcakes & Pastries. It is one of the 'Pinnapple Cream' tops in the yellow. The Lurex base under the crochet makes it stand out from any other top. RRP is $42.00 but now on sale for $29.00.

And finally, my favourite dress. I would've loved to have gotten this in all of the colours! I got this one in a size 5 so J can wear it next Summer aswell or with tights in the cooler months. This is from the 'Cherry' range of dresses in the purple with the turquoise lace over the top, my sister got the pink and it is beautiful aswell! It is lined so it gives the skirt more shape and the lace Lurex over the top makes it a little more special. RRP is $84.00 but now on sale for $58.00.

I also have the Sweet Face in the White/Pink Batik which is gorgeous and a great price and my sister got some of the Shortcake shorts which are very sweet and would go well with all the tops.

Skechers Shape Ups

Yay for comfy shoes, even more yay when they help you shape up!

I'm not one of those lucky people that after having a baby and breastfeeding that the weight just falls off (could be something to do with all the chocolate) so I've been looking for something else to help me on the journey to get back to pre-pregnancy weight.

I've seen the different shoes around for a while and had always wondered how they would feel, if they worked and if the price was worth it. First came the MBTs with their HUGE price tag, no chance! I saw some cheaper versions at target/Kmart/BigW but they all felt really uncomfortable on my feet and looked really bad. Finally it was Skechers that won me over.

Don't mind the dodgy photography as my 4 year old took this picture when we were at the zoo.

Skechers make a huge range of styles in their Shape-ups, SRR, SRT and Tone-up shoes so there would be something for any taste. I have the Liv-Smart Black/Hot Pink pair and think they are very cool! I think I'm going to change the laces to the hot pink pair that came with them.

The rocker sole simulates walking on wet sand, the perfect conditions for firming, toning and strengthening it is claimed so I've been wearing them every day since I got them including the trip to the zoo, heading to the shops and everywhere in between. They are so comfortable they just feel like a great pair of sneakers and I don't feel any pain or difficulties during or after wearing them. The Liv range doesn't look as bulky or as obvious as a curved base as a lot I have seen.

RRP is $129.95 but I regularly see them on special around the shops.

I'll be sure to keep you update over the Summer if they actually do shape me up (will try and lay off the chocolate to help it along) or even if they just lift a few bits I'd be happy!

With 3 little ones quite close together and getting out without a spare hand this little addition has given me much peace of mind. I used to get M or J to just hold onto the side of the pram but with the wide back wheels it often caught their foot so who would want to hold on? So along came the Tag*a*long!

As you can see it stands out coming in 4 bright colours (tangerine pictured) so the kids know to grab it without a second thought after doing it a few times. I don't ever take it off as it doesn't get in the way when folding the pram. Makes crossing the road easy as the toddler holds onto the Tag*a*long and you have 2 free hands to push the pram.

M's 2nd birthday

M actually turned 2 way back in May but some of the photos have taken until now to get so I can finally do this post!

Was so much fun planning & being able to use to many great companies I follow on Facebook.

Lucky it was a beautiful, sunny day.

The above bunting was all personalised with the matching invites, thankyou cards, lolly bag toppers and more and came from Print a Party. ($40) It was all very easy to do myself. I went down to Kmart and printed it all out and followed the instruction album on Print a Party's facebook page. My favourite was definitely the lolly bag toppers as it was so different to anything else we've gotten from a party.

Of course the birthday girl had to have her own birthday top (below) and I had been eyeing these off at Mezzies Prezzies for a long time! You can grab them from Mezzies Prezzies for $25 and can even get matching skirts. I also have one for J's birthday in August though in her favourite colour, hot pink.

And finally the most important part of any party, THE CAKE!!!

I got the tin from Party at My Place. It's in the shape of a daisy and HUGE.

I am not the best cake maker but M totally loved it, probably the fact that it had marshmellows all over the top. We had enough leftover for morning tea for the next week. There are so many great tins including Dora, Elmo, dinosaur and more but I thought with 3 girls a flower will get a lot of use over the years.

I'm not big on the whole lolly bag filled with sugar after eating enough sugar at parties to drive any parent to insanity for the rest of the day so I had sultanas, a milky way and some bargains I got from Rudy and the Dodo in the bags which were a hit.

All in all it was a great morning and I didn't need to leave the house to organise any of it!

Now to start planning for the other 2 birthdays I have coming up in the next 4 weeks.....

I only discovered Denim Baby last week and am so impressed by what I have seen and read!

Kids nailpolish

With 3 girls I'm sure I have years ahead of them 'borrowing' my makeup but much nicer when it's non toxic and easy to wash off when I let them do mine.

We have 2 brands that I've bought, pictured above is Piggy Paint and also Hopscotch Kids.

Piggy Paint is as 'natural as mud', non-toxic, odourless & kid friendly. It's water based but dries quite quickly, try using a hairdryer to speed up the process for little ones that can't help but touch.

I picked mine up from Little Posh in Perth but online try Infant Boutique or Sharp Kids ($12.95). We have the 'Girls Rule' colour but I love 'Icecream Dream' and 'Dandelion Dance'.

Hopscotch Kids is pretty much the same, non-toxic, water based & odourless.

They say
"Our polishes are eco-friendly, hypoallergenic, fragrance free and biodegradable. It is our revolutionary technology that provides a high gloss, salon quality finish that dries to the touch in three minutes. There is no need for a basecoat or topcoat, saving you time and money, and our polishes have a longer shelf life than other water based products. I totally love the colours & the names, we have 'Bubblegum, Bubblegum, in a Dish' (bright pink), I also love 'Three sailors went to sea, sea, sea' and 'Eenie, Meenie, Minie, Moe'. These generally are a bit pricier at $17.95 but have a larger range of colours and I think can be lighter when applied (good for little ones to try doing themselves) or darker with a second coat.

You can also find Hopscotch Kids at a wider range of online stores including A Little Bit of Cheek ($17.95), Little Styles ($19.95) or The Hip Infant ($19.95).

Both brands also make their own nail polish remover & can be bought in giftpacks.

My girls would have their fingers & toes painted every day if I let them! J did mine in the picture above and it came off the rest of my finger (and elbow!) easily when I washed my hands.

Would be a great gift idea instead of a lollybag at a girls birthday pamper party.

Yay 4 cold weather!

It's not often that Perth stays cold during the day but today was our coldest in 6 years so the perfect time to rug up!

C (above) was just sitting undercover watching the rain fall in her gorgeous, bright Minymo jacket from Charlipop Kids. Such great quality that even after going through the clothing monster M it still looks brand new.

M (below) loves her OOBI umbrella that she picked up at the Oobi tea party they did in Perth, goes very well with her Oobi jacket (handed down from J) which looks so cute with its apple patterned lining. The shorts are by Kricket and once again picked up from Charlipop Kids and on her feet are my favourite shoes that I picked up from Skeanie.

If you have a child that doesn't seem to fit shoes properly even if they are 2 sizes to big Skeanie is the answer! They have elastic around the ankle that is hidden when wearing that makes them so easy to put on squirming toddlers, made from super soft leather and with a flexible sole they are perfect for the toddler that never stops. The Sassy headband is from Pinkberry kisses, every girl loves a bit of bling!

And finally J. Don't mind the oversized coat, once again because its not often cold in Perth I bought I size 5 even though shes not even 4 yet in the hope that it will get worn a few times in the next couple of Winters and make it through her sisters too, thanks Pumpkin Patch!

The tee underneath is from Jackson's Monsters, all kids enjoy art work that actually is closer to them than what most tops have plus whenever it gets worn we get lots of comments about it.

The jeans are super cool and comfy and are made by OUCH clothing, most of her size 4s are good in length but fall down around the waist but these have the adjustable waist (YAY!) so no more trying to pull them up as she runs.

Her shoes are DCs that I grabbed as an end of season bargain and are very easy for her to put on with elasticated laces so no tying and finally the beanie her Aunt gave her and I added a clip from Madeleine Designs hair accessories.

As nice as it was to be able to get the warm clothing out I'm definitely looking forward to some sunshine and over 20 degrees soon!

I can't believe how big our collection of Alex&Ant has gotten! I've yet to try their shoes (OMG those booties look so cute!!) so the girls are just head to ankles Alex&Ant so far.

Named after Caterina's 2 children Alex&Ant caters for newborns up to size 6 (pre tees coming!). So far the collections have been simple, stylish and quality made. The current Winter collection made me want to buy LOTS of rompers even though C has enough hand me downs!

C is pictured above in my favourite piece. The detail in the wings on the back of the singlet are divine! I just want to unpick it and add it to every piece of clothing she wears! Hopefully we see them again as I haven't seen it anywhere online since. There is a long sleeve version currently in their webstore and also a romper with padded wings as part of the Winter collection though it seems to sell out quickly.

Below is J in Rosette Hem dress in peach, pearls for little girls bracelet and hairclip. It's freezing here today but she gladly put the dress on for a photo and still hasn't taken it off. It's very simple but beautiful and still comfortable to play in.

I'm sure most people have seen the ALEX&ANT water bottles around, I bought the one below (RRP $17.95) at Little Posh for C's first birthday in August. It has a cute circus pattern on it, is 100% recyclable and BPA free, it also comes in Farm and Lovebirds theme.

Now that we have gotten through my collection lets talk about whats out there right now.

I love the Mummy love romper and long sleeve tee and for the girls the Lace Love Birds Romper and the Butterfly Romper with Wings. The Fur Lined Booties look so good in this weather to keep those little toes toasty warm, colours to match any outfit.

I've become a bit of a market addict lately, there are so many around Perth now and all vary in quality, products and numbers through the door.

I've bought everything from cupcakes, curry, clips and clothes! This is just a few of my tips for when you head to the markets.

1. Set your budget! It's very tempting to go overboard once you see all those cute items, new products and sweet treats.

2. Head off early or towards the end. Some products sell out early in the day but I've also grabbed some bargains in the last hour of shopping.

3. Do a looking lap. My first lap I just look at what everyone has so I don't blow my whole budget on the first aisle!

4. Try and do it pram free. Some locations are not pram friendly or there isn't much space in each aisle, great opportunity for the other half to spend some quality bonding time with the kids while you go browse or use a baby carrier.

5. Take along a reuasable bag, cuts costs for the stall & saves the environment 1 bag at a time!

What catches my eye at a stall

1. Bright, clear signage on the stalls. Love to see the names clearly as it leaves an impression and I go looking for them online later.

2. Friendly looking stallholders. Sometimes the people behind the counter look bored so I just walk past.

3. Clearly priced items. Makes it much easier as a buyer to browse especially at busy stalls where there are a lot of people trying to get the stall holders attention.

4. Have a market day special! Lots of the time the prices at stalls are the same as online if thats always the way I'd rather pay for postage than head out to a busy market with 3 kids! Maybe try for something different to get extra attention, a Facebook likers special where they can mention they are a liker and get something on special, have a different special for each hour of the day or give every buyer a raffle ticket with purchase and draw a winner later on your facebook page/blog. Have some fun!

5. Lots of stalls now offer wrapped lollies/lollipops to people but how about doing something a bit different? Make up some printed labels to add to the sweets so you are remembered or get balloons made up with your logo, your stall will stand out with helium balloons or kids walking around holding balloons with your logo & will be remembered long after they leave the market.

6. Don't clutter. You might have 20 different patterns of one thing but just put a few out and let people know you have others if they want to see them or as they sell restock.

7. Go for different heights. Add some boxes under your table cloth so when people are walking by they can see everything you have plus its much more eye catching. Use baskets, stands, a pretty piece of furniture, showcase some items on an antique frame or a favourite piece of clothing on a mannequin.

8. Keep your business card in easy reach and add it in with puchases

9. Keep a pack of wipes handy in case a child heads your way covered in cupcake (is my #2)

10. and finally! Try and offer something unique, even if its something you won't sell that can be a centrepiece for your market like your 'couture' piece. A way out their headpiece or clothing item that attracts attention or becomes a talking point, something fun to use your imagination for!

Just thought of another one so #11. Have a mirror!!! My girls love to try hats, headbands, clips etc and see how it looks on them but noone ever has a mirror!

There are lots of markets around and not all are created equal, visit the ones near you before you decide which one is right for you.

Most of all for buyers and sellers have fun! Chat to everyone as the handmade community are a pretty friendly bunch!

I see red!

After 3 girls and the first 12 months where nearly everything you find is only in pink it's nice to dress them in other colours!

Today when we hit Fremantle J was my red girl! I've always loved red (must be the Aries in me, firey!) and I think it goes with her dark hair though she insists pink is her favourite colour followed by green.

These are my current faves of red in her wardrobe and I'll start at the top.

The ladybug hair pins are by Button Heads. They come in a princess pack with a headband and bow clip aswell for $19.95. The packs make great presents and a range of colours.

The red jeans are by OUCH, they are last years stock which I bought ahead and for a bargain price but after a google search you can still grab them at My Wild Child for $29.94 on sale but they only have size 6 left, Bambini Emporium also have them for $29.95 and still have size 4, 5 & 6 in stock! I love that they have the adjustable waist so they will last her until it heats up again at the end of the year. OUCH always has great quality & designs, probably the brand we have most of in our house.

Finally the very cool shoes are Vans. These were the last pair in my local surf shop and luckily a size above what Jayde was in but fit perfect with a thick pair of socks now and they had marked them down to clear the stock! I can't seem to find them anywhere online but check your local surfstore to see if they are clearing them, great slipon and go shoes.

Hopefully I can find some more colour combinations and may even attempt *gasp* pink! Just in case Mums of girls can't find anything ;-) and will have to borrow a nephew or 2 and do some boys outfits too.

I ♥ Easter! I guess it started when I was little as it usually meant my birthday, school holidays and of course chocolate!

It doesn't have to be all about chocolate, for us it's now a time to spend with family and for many it is still about the celebration of Jesus resurrection.

I thought I would share with you some alternatives that will last a lot longer than chocolate.

For once lets start with the boys!

Top left is a gorgeous little bunny named Bobby. He is made by Ribryba and can be picked up from Millaruby designs for $35, Theodore is also gorgeous there in a chocolate brown.

Top right I found this bargain at Bubhug on sale for $15! It consists of a 100% cotton towel bath support with attached toy and matching bath mit, comes in blue or pink bunny, green frog or yellow giraffe. Also check out the matching hooded towels on sale for $8.95!

Heading out for dinner on Easter day or getting dressed up for church? Check out the cute little ties available at Adorable Affordable, I love the little robot one and only $10! The Peter Rabbit range can also be picked up from Adorable Affordable, the booties are $19.95, the plate is $5.95 and the cot sheet set is on sale for $25.00.

Underneath the ties is 'Flynn' the floppy rabbit rattle by Bebe, you can pick him up for $23 from My Wild Child, you can even pick up the matching romper and bunny rug to match!

Second from the top at the far right side is embroidery done by Bibby Bee Embroidery, they have a whole range of Easter designs they you can put on minky to make into MCN's or blankees for bub. I love this one as it says 'some bunny loves me'.

Last one on the bottom right is the Rabbit Set by Prada. Beautiful, bright colours its the last one in stock at Three Cheeky Monkeys and comes in a size 9 months for half price at $41.06.

There is way more choice in clothing for girls plus I had to narrow down the hair accessories!

Top left is the gorgeous EIEIO pink bunny set by Mudpie. It consists of an A-line top with ruffled hem and matching leggings. It only comes in size 0-6 months and you can pick it up for $39.95 from The Bees Knees Kids.

Second from the left in the top row is a pink rabbit pillow that you can find at Tiffany's Place. The ears, feet and tail are padded then you just put a pillow in and you have a cute, snuggly rabbit! $15 each and I think on her FB page I saw there is only 1 left!

Third across the top is the girls Bebe rabbit, she is 'Daphne' in the blossom print. $23 each from My Wild Child you can pick up the whole matching range in bib, bunny rug, booties and 4 types of bodysuits! It is a beautiful, girly print.

Top right is one I have been eyeing off for quite sometime (plus plenty of others!). You can order this one in up to a size 7 from Mezzies Prezzies for $22. It would look fabulous with a pettiskirt!

Right in the middle is the funkiest bunny romper I have ever seen! Made by Two Belles and called 'Don't mess with me' it oozes style and attitude! Nice and soft for those that will mostly sleep Easter away grab it now from A Little Bit of Cheek for $49.95 and goes up to a size 1.

Bottom left is probably the outfit for those of us stuck in Summer in Perth. LolaMoolu make this singlet and bloomer set for $35. I love the pink and cream fabric with the chocolate colour, very Eastery!

Second from the left down the bottom are Bunny Hair bands from a business I haven't mentioned before. So many of my favourites are doing hair accessories for Easter but need to show some other great stores. You can grab a pair in your favourite colour from Mini Moo for $4.00. Comes in the colours hot pink, blue, pale pink, red & white.

Third across the bottom is the super cute personalised pillow from Tiges and Weince. It already comes stuffed and you just need to let them know the name you want on it at the checkout, $29.00. There is also a boys design available.

And lastly on the bottom right is just what every little bunny girl needs, OOBI Bunny ears! There are three designs available in Green Apple with Lilac Spot, Red Dot with Hearts and probably my favourite Pink Stripe with Pink Flowers. Pick them up for $12.95 each at Shophouse.

So it's Easter, did you remember to leave a carrot out for the Easter Bunny? What about a key for him to get in and hide the goodies? Check out Noahs Art Nursery for the Bunny key (left, 2nd from the bottom) to use each year for the Easter bunny to come in. Price is $10.

How about something fabulous to collect the goodies with? Grab a bag from Lolamoolu (top left) for the girls at $25 each or Itch Easter bags (middle right) in unisex designs for $24.95 from Cradle Rock.

Also from Cradle rock is the awesome money boxes (top right) which come in a bright pink or white aswell. 20cm tall you can pick one up for $34.95.

Middle left is the perfect Easter gift to the littlest ones in your life, bunny soap! Made of goats milk and scented with Anjou Pear Blossom you can get them direct from the USA for $6.75 from KcSoapsNMore.

Something that looks like eggs but is so much more fun are these felted egg shakers (bottom right) from MollyDagMade. $7.50 each they come in a wide range of colours. I picked up 2 for my girls when I saw them at a market and they are beautiful. Bright colours and covered in merino wool they will be a lasting Easter favourite.

Lastly, bottom left are ribbon wands from Precious Princess Pieces. $7.95 each there is sure to be a colour to match outfits or personalities, little boys would have just as much fun as girls swirling these around and jingling the bell.

What does the Easter Bunny need to creep around and hide eggs? Bunny slippers of course! (top left) $19.99 from City Beach they look nice and cosy for the cooler weather.

Planning a big lunch/dinner party for the big day? Head to Print a Party to grab the printable sheet and you could have a delish looking table like the one pictured top right. At only $10 it will make for a memorable meal.

And finally after the kids have gone to bed its time for some adult treats. A rocky road Easter egg from Harrys Rocky Road would go down a treat (bottom left) and a Creme Egg cupcake from Kustom Cupcakes would do me just fine too! (bottom right)

Favourite toys

Each of my girls has their own special toy, it's funny as they start with a pile of them when they are little but they seem to choose their own.

M is the most clingy with hers, its one of those little blanky teddies with angel wings that we got given when she was born and it must be with her to sleep. We then got another one as a backup in case she lost the first but now she must have BOTH with her! Not game to try for another backup just in case we spend every night hunting for more.

For J is was an OUCH knitted donkey called Daisy, you can imagine after 3 years shes getting a bit worn and she's recently been joined by a huge Hoot (from ABC) who takes up more of the bed than J.

And finally C has her latest addition, this gorgeous owl from Millaruby Designs. J picked it out for her at Market Girl and its totally beautiful. There are so many colour/material combinations that no 2 owls are exactly the same so I hope this one doesn't get to worn! Prices start at $25.

I've always wanted to add a few extra to the mix like the fabulous poppets from Pikelet Workshop and of course a Floss from Cuckoo for Coco but think these are more for me than for the kids as they have plenty. Maybe if I ever get my wish for #4 ;-)

Doll & Babes

I have been so busy with giveaways I have neglected my other blogging and I now have a HUGE list I want to write about! From nail polish to toys to (of course) clothes!

I thought I would start with Doll & Babes.

They are relatively new and started out with the idea of matching doll outfits to go with little girls clothing but has gone well beyond that in a short amount of time.

I was lucky enough to win an outfit when they first started up and chose this 3 piece ensemble for M. It is perfect for her as it came with a onesie with the design on the front, a cute little skirt and a matching skirt which she put on a teddy bear. It's simple but so pretty and I love the onesie as her shirts tend to ride up and I can just pull the skirt off and put her to bed for a nap in the onesie.

Out of their other products I love the little princess singlets, great bargain there, and also the party bag idea where there is a little fabric bag containing a doll skirt and scrunchie which is a perfect alternative to a lolly bag.

Plenty on offer if you have a little man in your life too!

There is so much choice for those of us with girls now when it comes to hair accessories. Buttons, bows, clips, slides and all types of bands.

I've mentioned some of my favourites before like BOWtique and Madeleine Designs and here are some more of my favourites.

Above is Miss J with a hair pieces from Joallie Petit. What I love about Joallie Petit is that they are built to last even little hands that pull things apart. Each piece is exquisitely made with a huge amount of attention to put into each piece you can tell they are made with love. I haven't seen anything else around like the pieces found at Joallie Petit. I love the vintage look on the above piece titled 'I want to live in Paris', at $8.95, and next on my wishlist in the Grosgrain headband 'Coccinelle', $12.95, that is currently out of stock and I'm wishing I got when I last saw it up the markets! A must have for every little ladybird lover.

Pictured below on Miss C is a piece from Pinkberrykisses. I love their use of a little bit of bling to enhance the pieces. I have a few of the Sassy headbands, $9.95, which look fabulous on all ages whether they have lots of hair or none at all. They have a huge range of colours and you can also find interchangeable headbands in a wide range of colours to attach clips onto. I'd also love to try the VIP Memberships where you can choose between 6 months or 12 months for a snappie or headband every month sent out to you, starting at $35 it's great for those of us that have trouble deciding or lose about one clips/headband a month!

And finally Bubbly Bowtique. The girls had great fun (pictured below) trying them on when they arrived. Miss J particularly liked the Minnie Mouse theme and Miss C just wanted to grab and eat it! Ones like this you have to beware around Miss Ms age (21 months) as she tend to pull them out then tries to pull the ribbons apart, have managed to grab them off her before this happens so far! The prices are great with none of the single bands, bows or snaps over $7. Check out the cute little Easter Bunny just in time for Easter at $4. I've decided for the next few blogs to feature some lovely WAHMs that handmake their items.

I know a lot of people are a bit afraid of buying handmade items as quality can vary greatly and no item is exactly the same as another but I feel like my child is wearing a piece of someones art when buying handmade over massed produced by machinery items.

I decided to start off with Tarlie Tykes as every item has been superbly made. Tarryn and I had our first babies in August of '07 and we met through a parenting forum. At Miss M's 1st birthday she bought along a cute little blue skirted nappy cover that suits M perfectly and was beautifully made.

The attention to detail is amazing, you can tell they are made by someone that is good with a sewing machine and puts a lot of effort into each piece.

Miss C pictured above is in a reversible pinny, one side is a cute cherry print and the other a navy blue with white dot. I can tell this will be fabulous when we are out and about and if it gets grubby (especially as we have just started solids!) just turn it in the other way! No annoying tags to irritate bub or stand out when changed to the other pattern.

Below is Miss J's skirt, don't mind my photography but I wanted to show the detail in the little butterflies all over the skirt. They are much nicer than my photography skills can show. I love the box pleats and the elastic waist makes it easy for J to be able to get it on and off herself.

Miss M's 2nd Tarlie Tykes item is this beautiful pink dress below. So easy to get on a wriggly toddler and great for playing in. She has it over her bathers in this picture. I love the colour and the cut, can easily be worn for dressed up moments or just for playing in as its a beautiful, light material.

I think Tarlie Tykes might become a regular in our wardrobes with the great quality, designs and prices. This is my new favourite brand of dresses to play around in!

I have been eyeing off a few of these dresses for a while now, the prints are so beautiful and girly without being babyish. When I saw Whimsy Child's boxing day sale and the fact we were heading off to the Gold Coast I could no longer resist! With only 2 postage days before we left I knew I was cutting it fine but they arrived in time, phew! Great service.

Below Miss J is in the Chrysanthemum sleeveless dress, I love the cut and colour on this one and it usually doesn't make it back to the cupboard and seems to go from laundry to wearing it straight out of the washing basket when it comes off the line.

And the next picture, below, has the Dragonfly strappy dress and the Bellflower strappy dress as well as the Cosmos bubble onesie I got for Miss C.

The strappy dresses are perfect for throwing over a pair of bathers, going to playgroup or even just playing around the house. They wash up really well and no need to iron!

I really love the onesie I got for Miss C, soft material that is comfortable for little ones to sleep in but they still look dressed up when you take them out. If there were more left in size 6-12 months I would've snapped up the lot!

Most of the dresses are currently on sale for $20 and the winter stock a tiny $12! Sizes are running low though so if you want to snap up some bargains get in quick!

Are 'designer' prices expensive?

Recently I was reading a facebook status on the Offspring Magazine page about their fashion spreads and whether people liked them. I was totally amazed at the amount of responses saying designer labels where to expensive and when others asked these people if they had even looked at the prices there was no response.

For me personally as the mother of 3 girls I'd prefer to pay a little extra for quality that will last all 3 of my girls and that hopefully wasn't made in a sweatshop paying the worker a few cents to make the garment.

BUT you don't always have to pay more! This cute little duck dress I got for Miss M cost a grand total of $2.50!! Yes you read that right, a 2 followed by 50 cents! I actually bought 6 pieces for $15 then a few dollars postage on top from Lil Miss Tutu. Sure, it's not every day you get bargains like that but regularly during the sales you can find things at the Target/Big W price or less online and you don't have to deal with taking the kids out to the shopping centre and then end up spending more on other things that catch your eye or deal with other parents that are over it too.

I know it took me a while to take the plunge into online shopping, you are worried about using your credit card online, if the item is as good in real life as it looks on the computer and if it will fit.

Most stores are extremely helpful with sizing, they will tell you if its an average fit or a bit smaller make and you can also ask in most parenting forums or on pages like Mum's Grapevine or Kid Style File where you can also find out about the latest sales and deals going on.

In all my years as an online shopper I have never had a problem with my credit card (besides overuse on my account) and with PayPal it makes it much more secure or on most sites they also offer direct deposit if you feel its safer that way or you don't own a credit card.

A lot of stores are now using facebook to clear stock aswell, you can check out F.B.G.S. (facebook garage sale) to see who's got one coming up.

Finally, think about where the money is going that you are spending on clothes. Most of these online stores and labels are owned by WAHM's not big multi million dollar corporations. Take for example Eternal Creation, by shopping here you are supporting a whole village in the Himalayas who get fair pay and better maternity leave than us! It's all handmade not by big machines and doesn't contain all those chemicals you can smell on certain clothes plus it is all totallly gorgeous and chances are you won't see another child out in the same outfit. It also helps that they have a huge up to 50% off sale at the moment!

Storewise check out Whimsy Child, they have fantastic quality dresses going for as little as $16! Leggings $7, shirts $8, PJs $37.95 down to $10!! These are clothes that aren't going to wear out, fade or lose their shape after one wear. Sure there are some items that cost a bit more but once again you are paying for something that isn't mass produced by machines.

Even better you can go to a WAHMs store that makes her own items and you are guarenteed noone will have something exactly the same as you. Each item is made with loving care and differently each time or you can put in a custom order for something you have in mind. Try Millaruby Designs for everything from toys to dresses to hairclips.

I wish I had the talent of these women but unfortunately I wasn't born with that gene though I will gladly keep shopping this way so why don't you take the leap and try online shopping for yourself?

Machiko Baby - Miss J's new summer dress

After 3 girls I'm a little over pink! Though it's Miss J's favourite colour still, once they move past the size 2 stage there seems to be a greater choice of not pink outfits. So when I saw Machiko Baby ask for reviewers on their blog I was a very happy lady! They have such a great choice of cool clothing in a wide range of sizes and I had been eyeing off the Rope tie dress by Fresh Baked for a while. The hard decision was which to pick between the yellow and the stripe. The stripe looks very nautical but as you can see by the photos I went with the yellow.

The dress, in both styles, range from a 0 to a 7 but a few sizes in the yellow have already sold out.

It's a perfect dress for summer, made out of 100% cotton. Great for the playground as it doesn't fly up when running around or going down slides and washes up really well if they do get grubby (which mine always do!). The pattern is of a tree with birds and little red love hearts on their wings and tails. I love the rope tie which makes it stand out from other dresses. Priced at $39.95 I can tell this will be worn regularly over the Summer/Autumn period and could be paired up with leggings or even jeans in cooler weather. The service from Machiko Baby was fantastic, very friendly and made it to Perth in pretty good time for the Christmas period!

The day I took these pictures we hit the park and playground and Miss J loved running around in her dress, she kicked her shoes off and hit the slides, swings and the surfboard without any trouble or any knicker flashes!

I was just having one of those days, you know the ones where you have some yummy cupcakes hanging around and decide to play dress-ups with your daughter? Or is that just me?

Well anyway I got out all my favourite things for Miss J and took a photo and had to share.

I'll start with the fabulously yummy cupcakes. These are made in Perth by Kustom Cupcakes. We were having a picnic today and I had a voucher to use so grabbed a lolly bag dozen. The Lolly Bag generally has 6 different flavours but we didn't have 2 the same in ours so it was sooooo hard to decide on which one to eat! With flavours like Lemon Meringue, Snickers and Ferrero you can't lose! We had some that don't appear on the website like Rolo which has a caramel centre in the cake and I was lucky enough to pick out that one! Check out the Kustomize page for various combinations you could try. Kylie, the owner/cupcake extraordinaire, is so lovely to deal with and expect to see her cupcakes at a cafe near you soon!

The cute little tea set that the cupcakes are set up on I got around a year ago from Raspberry Bub. As soon as I saw it I knew I had to get it. It comes in a little wooden strawberry box with tea set for 2 and a yummy looking cake that can be 'cut' up into quarters with strawberries, cream, candles and a Happy Birthday or Merry Christmas sign. The set is currently on sale for $59.95 and totally worth it, will be something to hand down to the grandkids one day as it is great quality.

The Babushka headband is from BOWtique, I love their headbands and clips plus their new BEAUtique stuff is so cool the boys won't feel left out! Also, they don't only do hair products, we have a pettiskirt and pettidress which get commented on every time they are worn out. I've had a sneak peak at the new range and it is all divine! With 3 girls you can never have enough hair clips, bows and bands.

And finally the dress. This is by Eternal Creation and I picked it up in one of their recent sales (well picked a few up). Eternal Creation products are handmade in the Himalayas and arrive direct from there in hessian bags, you can almost smell where it was made and not the chemicals like the sweat factories most other clothes come from. Workers, both male and female, get paid maternity leave even if they are part-time. Nothing cuter than a little bub in an Eternal Creation romper. I could seriously max the credit card on their site! The dress I got Miss J is meant to be for Christmas lunch but I'm finding it hard to resist putting her in it already especially with Perth's warm weather this Spring.

I love My Teddy

It's amazing how many teddy bears you can end up with when you have kids. I got given 2 big ones at my baby shower for Miss J and each birth have gotten multiple little pink ones. They have all ended up in the cupboard or toy box but sometimes come out for a teddy bear picnic. My Teddy is different, if the kids aren't hugging it you want it out where they can see it.

What sets them apart from any other teddy (besides how gorgeous and soft they are) is the cute little jumpers they wear. It was so much fun making one up for for Miss C (pictured here with her bear, though not ready to be put down!).

You start by picking which teddy you would like. The sizes start at 38cms and go up to a huge 68cms. You won't just find your average brown bear here, there's black, blue, pink, purple and a range of different browns, different fur length and super cuddly up to extra cuddly. If you aren't a fan of bears or want something different check out the cute frog, pig, cow, puppy and monkey. I would love to get Miss M the cow (the moo part of Bub & Moo) and Miss J would love Abigail with her floppy feet but for Miss C I chose the adorable Frankie in fudge.
Stage 2 you choose the colour of the jumper you would like. There are 5 colours and I went with the light pink which you can see well in the picture below.

Next the design you want on the jumper. At first I thought there was just the one page of designs but if you look at the drop down menu at the top there are a HUGE 16 categories! I changed my mind multiple times, the little hand and feet prints look so cute in the examples but the ladybird with its love heart spots was what I kept coming back to.
The final step you choose what you would like embroidered on the jumper. You can have a maximum of 30 characters on the front and 42 on the back. On Miss C's around the ladybird we got her name and date of birth then on the back wrote Lots of Love Mum & Dad.

They are all sent registered post so your teddy won't get lost in the mail or left on your doorstep, I missed our delivery so did the mad rush with all 3 to the post office 10 minutes before closing! They are incredibly soft and cuddly, will be a child's best friend for many years!

These teddies aren't just for kids either! Something different from everyone else's on Valentines day? Have a partner that works away and need cuddles when they aren't there? Having trouble thinking of a Christening gift? Would be a memorable way to propose with 'will you marry me?' on the jumper! I'm sure you could use it for nearly any special occasion and it would be something people would remember.

OK it's time for another blog about personalised products for Christmas. I can't believe it's November already! That means Christmas is next month and I don't even want to think about the fact I'll soon have to remember to write 2011 instead of 2010!

Todays blog is about a great store I found as the result of winning one of the Shopolat hunt prizes and let me add to Miss C's Christmas presents. The store is Jelly Bean Books which specialises in personalised children's books. There are a huge range of titles with a few great ones for Christmas time including Santa and Baby Jesus and a range of licensed characters which include the Sesame Street gang, Spiderman, Barbie and Superman and even a giant Where's Wally book!

The one I chose for Miss C was one of the Sesame Street range and as you can see in the picture below she enjoyed kicking back in her chair reading it before I packed it away to be wrapped for Christmas morning.

The details featured in the story can include the childs name, the suburb they live in, a few of their friends and also a special message.

Miss C has her sisters as part of her story and we put the message ' Love Mum & Dad Happy 1st Christmas 2010' in the front of it. I hope it's a book she can keep forever and one day read to her own children.

It's My Light!

I have been eyeing off My Lights for a longggggg time. They look so cool and would complete any child's room.

You start by choosing your box colour. The basic setup of a white, blue, red or green box is $129.95 including postage, then for the premium ones of Champagne pink, Blue sparkle, Golden yellow and Metallic grey it's an extra $10.

Next you put the name you want in. You can choose from 16 fonts and change the spacing and size, if you want it in script like the picture above it's an extra $2 a letter as it takes longer to manufacture but worth the price as it looks amazing! If you have troube deciding hand it over to their capable hands with what they think would look best.

Then finally you get to choose the light colour. They all come with white light or you can choose pink for an extra $10 but if you want to go all out you can get the RGB light. This light comes with a remote control, goes through 16 colours, you can dim it, strobe it or leave it on one colour you like, it's an extra $40 and I must say totally worth it!

We decided to get one for Charlize for her Christmas present (shhhhh don't tell her!) as she already has way to many clothes and there are toys all over the house so we wanted something just for her.

Her one is pictured below and I went with the Champagne Pink box, Corsiva font and spaced it a little and then the RGB light. Let's just say it is so much more awesome than I thought it would be and my bad photography doesn't do it justice! When I told hubby the price he nearly flipped, lol, but as soon as I turned it on he said 'we need to get all the girls one!!!', it felt like a disco in the room as we went through all the different light settings.

We will be using ours as a nightlight as they don't overheat with the LED light strip and only run on 12V that plugs in. I will have it set up on a set of drawers so none of the girls can get a hold of it!

I think this would be the ultimate baby shower gift if the person knew what they were having and had a name picked out as it's something that the child will keep forever and it will always be remembered who gave it to them. Would be lovely to put in as a group of friends or family once bub came along as well especially for those like us that have 3 girls and overflowing drawers lol.

Thinking about Christmas? Lets get personal...

Well it's already October which means only 2 months until the Christmas madness! I am totally organised this year and have finished my Christmas shopping already! I wanted to get it out of the way as I can't imagine carting all 3 girls around the shops at that time of year and we have to start saving as we are heading to the Gold Coast on the 3rd January '11 for my brother's wedding.

So the next fortnight or so I'm focusing on personalised Christmas presents. With 3 girls close together I find it hard to think of a present that is just for them without one of the others claiming it for themselves.

Miracle gift #3

Our latest addition is here! Well she arrived 2 months ago tomorrow but having 3 has kept me busy!

Charlize decided to go against the trend of turning up late like her sisters and arrived 16 days early. Though she has lots of hand-me-downs from her 2 big sisters I've still shopped up a storm for her. She's well and truly out of newborn nappies and 0000 now and the 000 are even getting tight! Probably because all she still does is eats and sleeps.

Here she is at 5 weeks old, my basket full of joy....

Have been constantly getting comments while out shopping of 'will you try for a boy' and 'you have your hands full', I just smile and think if you could see how full my heart is with love ♥ I would like #4 but still convincing my husband on that one lol.

I've been very neglectful of my blog since having Miss C and going to get back into it before the Christmas rush. Have some fab stores to tell you about.

Update on our household

Yesterday was week 35 so that means we are on the home straight now! Each pregnancy has gone quicker than the last so this ones been a bit of a blur with some hip pain lol.

Our little peanut was being good the whole time staying head down until deciding to somersault at 30 weeks to bottom down! Luckily 2 days later I felt peanut roll over again which was confirmed by my OB at our last appointment so hoping he/she stays that way until the end now!

This time around I've been taking Mummy's view photos as thats the way I remember my tummy looking, below is the most recent taken around 34 weeks. The bottom mustve been sticking out that day as it looks rounder now, not so pointy.

With Miss J and Miss M we got so many ultrasound pics but this one seems to be shy always hiding behind the placenta.

While I'm looking forward to meeting #3 I have not been as organised this time leaving packing of bags and the car seat until the last minute but my husband has definitely gotten the nesting instinct rearranging rooms and cleaning up.

Saving up for my ultimate pram (and hopefully the last as I seem to go through to many!) the Baby Jogger City Select, just trying to convince hubby this is the one!!!

The blog and facebook page will probably be very neglected in the next month or two but I look forward to getting back to shopping soon, so many new stores and products to try!!! xx
